A series of cross-regional meetings was organised on 13-24 March 2023 to validate the methodology of the needs and agree on the final list of needs of electricity and offshore, hydrogen and electrolysers, smart grids and CO2 networks per region.

The needs were identified by implementing the needs methodology (updated following comments from the regional groups and uploaded on CIRCABC before the meetings), corroborated with the EU countries’ input presented in the previous meetings, also available on CIRCABC.

13 March 09.30 to 17.45 - TEN-E Regional Groups on electricity and offshore (online)

20 March 09.30 to 17.45 - TEN-E Regional Groups on hydrogen and electrolysers (online)

21 March 14.00 to 17.30 - Thematic Area smart gas grids

24 March 09.30 to 13.00 - Thematic Area cross-border carbon dioxide networks

24 March 14.00 to 17.30 - Thematic Area smart electricity grids

The objective of the meetings was to present participants with the results of the public consultation on the submitted projects and the final assessment methodology. During the meetings, project promotors also had the opportunity to present the submitted projects and answer technical questions from other participants. Presentations helped the Thematic Area Group members and stakeholders understand the projects' cross-border impact, benefits, costs, and timelines.
