YEAs will take an active part in discussions at the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) from 10-12 June 2025, and beyond.
Check out these quick guidelines and application criteria and apply now to become the next Young Energy Ambassador. Applications are open until 1 March 2025, results will be communicated in April 2025.
European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2025
This year’s event is centered around the theme ‘Powering a fair and competitive green transition’, and the European Commission is eager for young voices to help shape Europe’s future. YEAs will participate in high-profile sessions at EUSEW and engage with policy makers, industry leaders and media representatives from across the EU, while also contributing to the European Youth Energy Day (EYED). The participation costs will be covered. Sharing ideas during the Policy Conference sessions or networking at the Energy Fair are other ways to engage with the sustainable energy community.
A year of opportunities
The Young Energy Ambassadors (YEA) programme is more than just an opportunity to attend the EU's biggest sustainable energy event. It is about becoming part of an outstanding professional network spanning all of Europe.
Being a YEA is a year-long commitment, giving you the chance to create lasting impact beyond attending EUSEW. You will join a vibrant network of young people, participate in various activities including a mentorship scheme, workshops and policy dialogues and be featured in top European media outlets focused on sustainable energy.
Previous cohorts have driven important policy conversations, including dialogues with EU leaders and participation in initiatives like the co-creation of recommendations on the future of clean energy for the new Commissioner for Energy and Housing.
Join a diverse community of changemakers
The YEA programme connects passionate individuals from across sectors - students, activists, researchers, and professionals - working towards a sustainable, climate-neutral future. Your unique perspective and experience will help challenge some old ways of thinking and contribute to a collective vision of the future of clean energy in Europe. To meet previous YEAs, take a look at the members from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts of Young Energy Ambassadors.
If this sounds like you, then we would be delighted to have you on board! Apply before 1 March 2025 to become a member of the next Young Energy Ambassadors cohort
