Description
ENER/B2/2019-341-Rfg
The subject of this call for tenders is the development of a study on the requirements for power generators in the Member States (hereinafter “MS”), based on the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/631 of 14 April 2016 establishing a network code on requirements for grid connection of generators (hereafter ‘RfG NC’) and, where relevant, European Standards (ENs) that have been ratified by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation (CENELEC), recognized as competent in the area of voluntary technical standardization as per EU Regulation 1025/2012 on European standardisation.
The purpose of this study is to assess the level of convergence between the grid connection requirements for generators in the MS for all four types of power-generating modules as defined in the RfG NC, with a particular emphasis on Type A power generators. The RfG NC seeks to ensure that objective and non-discriminatory technical rules are developed which establish minimum technical design and operational requirements for the connection to the system in order to provide system security within the interconnected transmission system.
