President von der Leyen and Executive Vice-President Šefčovič launch Clean Transition Dialogues with a first exchange on hydrogen

Tomorrow, President von der Leyen and Executive Vice-President Šefčovič will host the first of a series of Clean Transition Dialogues.

The first dialogue will focus on hydrogen, and the Executive Vice-President will engage with the representatives of the entire hydrogen value chain, from manufacturers of electrolysers and hydrogen production, to transportation infrastructure and hydrogen off-takers.  They will exchange ideas and best practices on how to strengthen the industrial dimension of the European Green Deal and accelerate the green transition together in the hydrogen sector.

As announced by Commission President in her annual State of the European Union speech, the Commission will organise Clean Transition Dialogues to help implement the European Green Deal and support the decarbonisation of European industry.

At tomorrow’s Clean Transition Dialogue on hydrogen, President von der Leyen will deliver an opening speech, followed by a keynote speech by the Executive Vice-President.  The opening speeches will be followed by a number of dedicated thematic sessions, and then the Commission will draw conclusions on the way forward.
