Webinar “Planning for a just transition in light of energy (in)security”

©Secretariat of the WBUA initiative

This first webinar in the series “Just energy transitions in the Western Balkans and Ukraine”  will examine how the security of supply (SoS) and energy transitions are intertwined, and which options for achieving SoS in the medium and long term are currently the most pragmatic. It will also look into how coal regions can actively manage their own transitions, and what approaches ensure that these transitions are just and maximise benefits for regional socio-economic development.

  • Selma Šehović, Climate change and Just energy transition, FES SOE

  • Katharina Hartmann, Consumers, Local Initiatives, Just Transition Unit, DG ENER, European Commission
