The ICM Forum (previously known as the CCUS Forum) brings together stakeholders from industry, EU countries, EU institutions, NGOs, academia and others to discuss how to make the deployment of industrial carbon management projects a reality in Europe.
This year’s Forum will be co-hosted by the Commission and the French Ministry in charge of Energy in a hybrid mode from Pau, France on 10-11 October 2024. It will be an opportunity to discuss the implementation of the Commission’s Communication on Industrial Carbon Management as well as other policy developments, which aims to help facilitate the creation of a single market for CO2 in Europe and the deployment of industrial carbon management technologies.
Building on the activities of the working groups, the ICM Forum will include stakeholders’ discussions on public awareness, the opportunities of carbon capture and utilisation, the challenges of CO2 transport infrastructure and CO2 standardisation.
Among other distinguished speakers, Commissioner Kadri Simson will be present to open the Forum.
Last year’s edition gathered more than 450 in-person participants in Aalborg, Denmark, and up to 1 400 participants connected online. We hope to have even more participants this year!
