EU Sustainable Energy Week

EUSEW is the biggest event in Europe on renewables and energy efficiency, bringing together policymakers, industries and citizens.

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe.

EUSEW brings together a broad range of partners like policymakers, industry representatives, businesses, civil society organisations and citizens during a 3-day policy conference in Brussels. It offers various networking opportunities and hosts an EU Sustainable Energy Awards competition, with a public vote for the Citizens' Award. It also includes local sustainable events - Energy Days - which are organised by both public and private organisations and held across Europe throughout the months of May and June. Any activity can be an Energy Day – from a workshop, to a competition, to a tour of a power station – provided it engages citizens and energy stakeholders in the clean energy transition. Since 2020, a European Youth Energy Day, addressing 18-34 year olds, has been added to the already rich programme.

The annual EUSEW event was organised for a decade by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) in close cooperation with Directorate-General for Energy. In 2021, the European Climate, Environment and Infrastructure Executive Agency (CINEA) took over EASME’s role.

The theme of the 2024 edition of the event is 'Net-Zero competitiveness driving the EU energy transition' and takes place 11-13 June 2024.
