26 April 2018
On 26 April 2018 a national roundtable on energy efficiency finance in Latvia took place in Riga. The event was organised by the European Commission, in partnership with the Ministry of Economics of Latvia and the UN Environment Finance Initiative.
It was a follow up of the public event organised on 11 November 2016 as part of the Sustainable Energy Investment Forums, which supports the implementation of the Smart Finance for Smart Buildings initiative in the EU Member States.
The roundtable aimed to start a dialogue on energy efficiency financing between key stakeholders in Latvia, in order to identify common goals and possible improvements in the national policy framework. The working sessions focused on housing, public buildings, SMEs, and the engagement of banks in energy efficiency finance.
