The European Commission has organised annual scientific seminars on radiation protection related issues since 1997. The seminars are listed chronologically and include programmes, presentations and other related material.
EU scientific seminar 2022
The seminar on Radiological protection considerations for fusion reactors took place on 29 November 2022. The programme included presentations on
- Basic radiation protection issues in future fusion reactors (Elisa Mancia)
- Radiological inventories and source terms (Walter Shmayda)
- Occupational Radiation Exposure (Sandro Sandri)
- Environmental Releases and public exposure in normal and accidental situations (Pierre Cortes)
The presentations were followed by a round table discussion, in which the speakers, invited additional experts and the group of experts discussed potential policy implications and research needs
- Issues with tritium (Christian Grisolia)
- Dosimetry (Lee Packer)
- Radioactive waste issues (Lewis Simmons)

EU scientific seminar 2021
The seminar on Advances/Innovations in individual dosimetry took place online on 9 November 2021. The programme included presentations on
- New dosimetry techniques – an overview (Including eye-lens dosimetry) (Filip Vanhavere)
- Aircrew and space crew dosimetry (Werner Rühm)
- Dosimetry in pulsed fields and mixed fields (including radiation protection of personnel in proton therapy facilities) (Marco Caresana)

The seminar on developments in nuclear medicine – new radioisotopes in use and associated challenges took place in the afternoon of 13 November 2019. The programme included presentations on

EU scientific seminar 2014
The seminar on Fukushima, lessons learned and issues, took place on 18 November 2014 in Luxembourg. It included presentations on
