Together with its members, the Platform aims at strengthening the commitment to equality in the energy sector by creating workplaces that are more diverse and inclusive. Through you, we seek to promote a commitment to inclusion and equality in all of its dimensions, such as sex, gender, ethnic origin, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion or belief and the intersections therewith.

How to become a member

The following stakeholders in the energy sector are welcome to apply for membership

  • national, regional and local authorities in EU countries
  • EU institutions and agencies, and international organisations;
  • companies, federations, associations, foundations, non-governmental organisations, trade unions, universities, research institutes, law firms and consultancies based in an EU country

Energy stakeholders can join the equality platform

  • as full members by filling in the application form, signing the platform’s declaration and submitting examples of specific actions to promote equality in their workplace
  • as signatories by filling in the application form, signing the platform’s declaration and committing to submit within a year examples of specific actions to promote equality in their workplace

All entities that sign the declaration voluntarily commit to promote diversity and equal opportunities in their workplace through diverse actions, such as the installation of specific facilities for women or persons with disabilities, the development of diversity strategies or action plans, etc.

Members will be expected to report on implementation progress of their actions in upcoming platform meetings.
