Following the first call for Financial Institutions in 2024 and a second call in 2025, altogether 67 Financial Institutions have joined the European Energy Efficiency Financing Coalition as members.

The Financial Institutions members of the Coalition are public and private financial institutions authorised to conduct business in the territory of the Union, such as public and commercial banks, investment firms, asset managers, insurance companies, and their representative associations.

It is foreseen to have a new call for financial institutions in the course of 2026. Stay updated in our newsletter and on this page.

The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI)is a UN-convened network of banks, insurers, and investors working to accelerate sustainable development. As a privileged partner of the Coalition, UNEP FI provides finance sector insights to support the objectives of the Coalition and fosters synergies with the activities of its global membership and thematic workstreams.

The European Investment Bank has been continuously working together with the European Commission on energy efficiency financing. It will be a privileged partner of the Coalition.
