The European Commission in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic is organising a national roundtable to enhance the capacity of and co-operation between public and private stakeholders to develop large-scale investment programmes and financing schemes for energy efficiency in the Czech Republic. The national roundtable aims to bring together stakeholders in the field of sustainable energy financing and to create a dynamic at the national level, which will then be continued by the key stakeholders.
The event builds on the outputs of previous SEI Forums events in the Czech Republic, taking into account the most recent EU strategy in the frames of the European Green Deal: the European Green Deal Investment Plan. It focuses on practical support to public authorities and project promoters in planning, designing and executing sustainable projects (project development assistance), use of communication campaigns to overcome non-financial barriers, and design of financial instruments mobilize private finance and use public funds more effectively
