Roundtable on Finance for Energy Efficiency in Romania, 11 October 2018, Bucharest

11 October 2018

Location:
Bucharest, Romania

On 11 October, a national roundtable on financing energy efficiency in buildings and SME’s in Romania will take place in Bucharest. The event is organised by the European Commission in partnership with the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration, the Ministry of European Funds of Romania, the Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority and the UN Environment Finance Initiative. It is a follow up of the regional conference on Financing energy efficiency in Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria, which took place on 1 February 2018 in Bucharest. These events are part of the Sustainable Energy Investment Forums, which support the implementation of the Smart Finance for Smart Buildings initiative in the EU Member States.

The roundtable aims to initiate a dialogue between key Romanian stakeholders on how to improve access to finance for energy efficiency investments, and to identify common objectives and potential improvements to be made in the current policy framework and business practices. The working sessions will focus on private home renovation, de-risking energy efficiency investment, green mortgages and the energy renovation of public buildings.

This is a closed event upon invitation only.
