European Sustainable Energy Week 2025: Applications for awards open

Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson presents 2 women with their EUSEW award at EUSEW 2024

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the EU’s largest annual event on renewables and energy efficiency. During the week, EUSEW Awards are given to recognise people, projects, and initiatives that advance Europe’s transition to clean and sustainable energy. Today, we launch the applications for EUSEW Awards 2025.

The awards are given in 3 categories

  • Innovation recognises projects that bring fresh, visionary, forward-thinking solutions to the table
  • Local Energy Action honours local and regional initiatives bringing sustainable energy solutions to life in Europe
  • Woman in Energy celebrates gender diversity and inclusivity in the journey to the clean energy transition and aims to inspire greater gender equity in the energy sector

Applications are now open until 30 January 2025. Finalists will be selected by a high-level jury, with winners chosen by public vote. In addition to receiving significant promotional support and media attention throughout this process, the finalists will be invited to attend the EUSEW Awards Ceremony in Brussels on 10 June 2025.

If you or someone you know is driving forward energy innovation, local community efforts, or contributing to gender diversity in renewables and energy efficiency, this is the opportunity to gain recognition and inspire others across Europe!
