The European Commission has today opened a consultation on proposed electricity market reforms in Spain.
Aimed at gauging opinion from public and private stakeholders, the consultation will feed into the Commission’s assessment of the planned reforms.
Under the Electricity Market Regulation 2019/943, Member States are required to outline reforms to their electricity market if and when they identify likely supply shortages.
Responses to this consultation on Spanish plans should be submitted by 22 December 2023.
