Webinar: Chatting on Citizen Energy

The webinar is the first in a series by the new Commission initiative Citizen Energy Advisory Hub, and at the same time part of the Sustainable Energy Days.

Targeting households, small businesses, municipalities, energy communities, social economy actors and small-scale NGO’s, this 1.5-hour webinar with speakers ranging from EU and national expert organisations to community leaders will introduce the initiative’s activities and highlight available support to citizens and local actors in developing sustainable energy projects.

We will explore some examples and activities that citizens can engage in to be part of the clean energy transition, such as energy efficiency, flexible demand response, and energy sharing.

We will hear from projects in Belgium and Italy, demonstrating the tangible benefits they achieved for citizens, including reduced energy bills. Experts on these topics from the Building Performance Institute Europe (BPIE), SmartEn, and SolarPower Europe will take us through the technical details and examine what might be needed to replicate these examples elsewhere.

There will be time dedicated to questions and answers, as we are keen to hear from participant’s experiences.
