The European Commission invites EU country authorities, experts, and stakeholders to exchange on practical solutions developed by EU-funded initiatives to support the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
Across Europe, EU countries are moving from EPBD transposition to implementation. This event will bring together EU institutions, national authorities, LIFE-CET projects, technical experts and market stakeholders to explore how EU-funded initiatives can provide practical support for the implementation of key EPBD provisions.
The event will showcase tools, methods and policy-support activities addressing Energy Performance Certificates, the Smart Readiness Indicator, building-stock data, digitalisation, renovation planning, market uptake and finance. It will also provide an opportunity to discuss how project results can be better scaled up and used by national, regional and local authorities. It addresses representatives of national ministries and agencies responsible for EPBD transposition and implementation, regional and local authorities, EU-funded project partners, building professionals, energy agencies, technical experts, financial and market actors, and stakeholders from the building construction and renovation and energy sectors.
This event is hybrid, with in-person attendance limited to 120 participants and is co-organised by the European Commission and several EU-funded initiatives supporting the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, including the LIFE CET projects openBEP4EU, OBSERVE, iEPB, SmarterEPC, BREEZE, ReLIFE and the EU Building Stock Observatory.
