Second Plenary Meeting of the Investors Dialogue on Energy

© European Union, 2023

The Plenary Meeting of the Investors Dialogue on Energy (ID-E) goes into its second edition. It aims on updating stakeholders and boosting awareness regarding the initiative's work.

The event will garner high-level representation from the European Commission, including the Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, and from other European institutions, as well as representatives from international organisations, national bodies and the energy and finance industry.

During the event, participants will have opportunities to meet and network with members of the Working Groups as well as stakeholders from the European energy and financing landscape.

Facilitated discussions will focus on the current investment landscape and how this can support the financing of the transition investments in the energy sector. Participants can expect to discuss, among others, topics such as current EU energy policy initiatives (REPowerEU, Wind Power Action Plan, Grid Action Plan), opportunities and challenges for hydrogen and batteries, the role of cities and energy communities in the decarbonisation of energy, as well as updates from the Working Groups on the ongoing work in designing pilot financial instruments across the different segments of the energy value chain.

The event is open to the stakeholders having an interest in the Investors Dialogue on Energy. Onsite participation has reached its capacity, but participants are encouraged to join online.

The Investors Dialogue on Energy (ID-E) is a multi-level stakeholder platform that brings together experts from the energy and finance sectors in all EU countries. Their aim is to assess and upgrade financing schemes to mobilise financing in the context of the European Green Deal and REPowerEU.
