The first SMR Stakeholders’ Forum is part of the activities of the European Industrial Alliance on Small Modular Reactors (Alliance).
The Forum will serve as an element of the broader public consultation supporting the forthcoming Commission Communication on a Strategy for SMRs, which is planned for publication later this year.
The event will provide an inclusive and collaborative setting for open dialogue among a wide spectrum of interested stakeholders. It is primarily targeted at entities, organisations and experts that are not members of the Alliance, offering them a unique opportunity to exchange views on current developments and discuss Europe’s role and international collaboration in advancing SMR technologies.
Discussions will build on the Alliance’s Strategic Action Plan and the Call for Evidence by addressing a broad range of topics, such as public engagement and socio-political challenges of SMR deployment, role of SMRs in EU objectives, cross-sectoral applications of SMRs as well as SMR safety and radioactive waste management.
The programme and registration is available on the nucleareurope website.
