European Industrial Alliance on Small Modular Reactors

The European Commission together with EU nuclear industry is organising an event to take stock of the progress in the setting up of the European Industrial Alliance for SMRs following its launch in early February.

The event will seek to confirm industry’s interest in joining this alliance and promote the membership in the alliance to stakeholders.

Expected participation: +/- 100 attendees (high level representatives from: EU industry, research organisation, start-ups, nuclear safety regulators, training and education networks).

High-level speakers include

• Ms Kadri Simson, Commissioner for Energy
• Mr Thierry Breton, Commissioner for Internal Market
• Ms Iliana Ivanova, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth
