8th European Nuclear Safety Conference: Regulating nuclear safety in a rapidly changing and challenging environment

  • Conferences and summits
©European Union, 2026

The 8th edition of the ENSREG Conference will give an opportunity to European nuclear safety authorities / regulators, their technical support organisations (TSOs) and other stakeholders, including representatives of the European institutions, NGOs and media, as well as participants from non-EU countries – particularly from the major actors in the civil nuclear field – to exchange experiences and views on the current nuclear context and its unprecedented challenges in the EU and globally.

In 2026, each session of the Conference will focus on how nuclear safety authorities, as public service providers, are subject to a wide range of expectations: those of politicians, industry, society, and their counterparts. It aims to promote exchanges between the different parties, compare expectations, share views on the different ways of addressing current common challenges and explore potential new collaboration and dialogue schemes.

The conference also serves as a showcase of the work and achievements of ENSREG, including its working groups, of relevant national administrations and of the Commission in those fields.
