15th Citizens’ Energy Forum

Citizens' Energy Forum

The 15th Citizens Energy Forum will focus on middle and low income consumers and on solutions that they can access or put in place. Active on-site participation will be facilitated through interactive polls (, citizen testimonies, hands-on informative and inspiring examples of consumer actions, and lively discussions in break out groups.

The Forum addresses mainly citizens’ interest groups, a wide range of stakeholders including NGOs, businesses, as well as policy makers (ministries and regulators) on energy consumer issues in the context of the post energy crisis, including their role, related opportunities and risks in the electricity market design of the future. The event is co-organised with the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU), which is Ireland’s independent energy and water regulator.

Back-to-back with the Forum, there will be 2 events for specialised audiences at both EU and local level, the day before and the day after:

  • On 8/11 a closed-door Regulatory Roundtable on EU consumer policy involving EU countries, energy regulators and EU level stakeholders
