This dashboard presents some indicators to analyse the evolution of the energy taxation systems in the EU and some of its main trading partners over the past decade. The data displayed are derived from that used in the Study on energy prices, costs and their impact on industry and households: 2022 edition.
The data and indicated address the energy tax revenues as whole, the revenues from excise duties, the duty rates and VAT rates applied to electricity, natural gas, petrol, gas oil and fuel oil. The dataset also provides estimated total tax rates on energy.
How to use the dashboard
First, select a dimension. Then, the available indicators will appear. On the right hand side a menu will appear, which allows you to download, print or change data visualisation.
