Why we are consulting
Objective of the consultation
The Commission is preparing amendments to the Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a guideline on Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management (‘CACM Regulation’).
Following a request of the Commission, the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) has issued a recommendation on reasoned proposals for amendments to the CACM Regulation, addressing the issues above. The Commission will prepare a proposal for a recast of the CACM Regulation based on ACER recommendation and its own analysis.
The objective of this consultation is to consult stakeholders to gather factual information, knowledge and perception about the ACER proposal, in order to decide if some of the points of the proposal need to be modified, or additional requirements need to be included.
